So finally here it is, the second trailer for the 7 trailer phenomena from Slippery When Wet. Next up we have dear friend and long time boating compadre Chris Korbulic. If you are not familiar with this paddler then you must not use the internet……ever. Chris has been making noise in a kayak from a tender age growing up in Gold Hill, OR along the banks of the Rouge River. He is one of the most talented kayakers/photographers in the outdoor industry today, not only because of his abilities in a kayak but because of his attitude. You would never know how big Chris goes in a kayak because of his modesty and calm demeanor. He is one of my closest friends and favorite paddling partners for that reason alone. Here are a handful of screen shots from his trailer … Read More »
It has been an interesting winter here in northern California as we got some great early storms to build up the pack but we just got through a week of sunny 60 degree weather (which was great for boating). Recently I took a quick trip to Santa Cruz to meet my new nephew Skye and lend a helping hand putting the final touches on my brothers new house. In the past week I have been doing a little local boating and busing out heaps of media management deep in da cave.
Living in the greater Siskiyou County area up here in the far northern reaches of California has many benefits. The first of many being that there is usually another fellow filmmaker deep in the editing cave sharing similar ambitions of winter kayaking. With all this warm weather us cave monsters … Read More »
Here it is. The first trailer for the current project here at SBP, Slippery When Wet. This is 1of 7 trailers for the film, one trailer for each athlete featured (minus the Knight bros they count as one). This project is going to be a lot of work but I am hoping it can give some deeper insight to each athletes style and passion for the river. Here are some stills from the trailer.

So things have been wicked busy since I got back from Christmas in St. Simons Island Georgia and then Santa Cruz, California for New Years, just in time for my brothers baby shower. It was good times hanging out with the family and I am excited to be an uncle here in the the next few weeks. Here are some photos from the holidaze adventure.

We have been lucky enough to receive a lot of early precip up here in northern California and it has made for some decent winter boating thus far. On Sunday (12/5/10) I enjoyed a great solo day out with my girlfriend Callie, unfortunately the flows were marginal on Mears Creek. This run flows into the Upper Sacramento and is located about 20mins south of Mt. Shasta.
Lovin’ the Level Six Barrier Dry Suit.
That night it dumped rain for a solid 9 hours and the following morning I knew there would be water somewhere around the area. Here is a gauge for the Sac telling the story on the morning of Dec 6th…
As the Shasta Boyz are kinda spread out these days, Ryan down in SLO working as a nurse and Dev is here in Shasta working … Read More »
After everything that could possibly go wrong does and you still have a successful event, well that would be the story of the Wet Dreams and HAYMAKER tour. We have been the largest sh#t show in the business, no doubt, but still were able to generate $400 for our boy Grant Korgan. Grant recently did his first sit up in over 7 months, this is a huge feat and all us Shasta Boyz congratulate you one your achievement. KEEP CHARGIN. This tour finale is one to go down in the history books and also a very worthy tale.
We have finally come to the end of the road for the Wet Dreams and HAYMAKER tour. It has been an amazing experience meeting new people and connecting with the paddling community that supports what we do. Also a big thanks to Cody Howard for setting up all the logistics for the shows I was not able to attend.
Here is a short video from our last show in Chico California, edited by Cody Howard courtesy of Huckin Huge.
For our final show we have chosen my neck of the woods. Just north of Mt. Shasta, CA is the little town of Weed. The folks at Mt. Shasta Brewing Company have been kind enough to let us dirt bag kayakers terrorize their place of business … Read More »
Hope everyone is enjoying the fall. School is kicking my a$$ up here but Im gettin’ er’ done. So I talked Cody Howard on his way up to BC and we have decided on one last premier of HAYMAKER and Wet Dreams. The venue is not yet decided but it will take place where it all started in my hometown of Mt. Shasta, CA.
At the beginning of the week I came across this video of fellow kayaker Grant Korgan. During February 2010 he was injured in a snowmobile accident and has temporarily lost the use of his legs. I have not had the pleasure of meeting him in person but right away I felt the desire to help however I could. Myself and Cody Howard have decided to donate the money from our final premier to aid in … Read More »
On Oct 1st. 2010 myself and Cody Howard showed our films, Wet Dreams and Haymaker, at Dragon Graphics in Chico, CA. It was a great event that catered to kayakers and dirt bags alike. Jeff Baylor is the man for hosting such a great event and throwing down to get everyone wasted. There was about 45 people in attendance for the free show and the kick ass $1 raffle which concluded the event.
HUGE shout out to Hippy Tree clothing, Sanuk sandals, Liquid Logic Kayaks, Snapdragon skirts, Watershed dry-bags, Skaddle, and Dragon Graphics for throwing down such sick gear ranging from shoes and cloths, to high quality stretched canvas prints and throw bags. Although a smaller showing, the people that came out were very supportive and fired up for both projects.

Its hard to understand the kayak industry unless you’re in it. We love to kayak but we also love to party, loud, long, and hard. The Feather Festival on the North Fork of the Feather river has continued to be a hub for great racing and EPIC partying. This year was no exception. Some of the top athletes on the west coast came and showed what they were made of.
There are a few events featured at the festival, time trials, Hangover-X, and SUP. This year Taylor Robertson cleaned house, 1st place in long boat, boater-x, and SUP. SAVAGE. Here are some photos of the event courtesy of Callie Daniel.
